TV FREE ... not FREE TV, but TV FREE

Let me be perfectly clear, I am NOT giving a TV away. But I am considering participating in a TV free week - or 3 days, depending on when the new winter season starts. I absolutely can not wait for the new season of Nashville, I love that show so much!!!
I figure right now is a great time to go on a TV diet, there is nothing new it's all reruns ; and trust me there is nothing worse than realizing that you have wasted an entire evening watching episodes you have already seen, especially when you have a pile of laundry needing to be done or a great book waiting to be read.
I mean it's one thing to waste time watching an episode of Honey Boo Boo you have never seen, but watching it again ... i feel like it is kinda a slap in the face to productivity. - ooo i am also super excited about the new Boo Boo episodes, those peeps fascinate me.

My goal is 1 week ... I'll let you know how it goes.

Update : I am proud to say I am fully back on the TV wagon. I can't say I didn't watch TV the entire week. But I can say I did remarkably well. But that is all over now. My stories are back in full swing and i am lovin' itT

I HEART myself

I was reading through my past blog and I had so much fun reading about myself. I am not saying that my life is particularly interesting, but I loved reminiscing with myself, about myself. Mostly I enjoy remembering what TV I was into in the past ... oh, and I like to see how my family is growing and learning - ya, ya that's important too. So I figured it's time to put some effort into this blog business. Not so much for other people, but for myself. And hey if you get a laugh outta my life, well enjoy. We'll see how this pans out.

Referring to my last post, ladies and gentleman it's time to worry. I am quitting my blogski. She has seen me through a lot, but it's time to end it. No reason in particular. I guess it has just become more of a chore than anything, one more thing on my to do list. It's been a slice!

Don't Worry!

Don't worry my friends I have not abandoned you, I will be back in full force very shortly. I just need another week or so to recover from the big wedding (pics to come). Then I will need another week to recover from being at home with my kids for spring break, then I'll be back full force ... HOPEFULLY!

But if you are, then you will undrestand when I ask the question, 'What's with the guy playing the drums with no shirt?'. If you have no idea what I am talking about you should you tube it - because I know you have nothing better to do with your time.

'Nice Ponytail'

This is my teeny tiny ponytail. Whenever I do my hair like this, I say to myself several times (yes I talk to myself, and let me tell you I am hilarious). Any who, I say to myself several times 'Nice ponytail' said in Snakes voice of course.

The Just Kill Me Time Of Day

When is your just kill me time of day. Mine is 5:05pm until Bart gets home- not 5:00pm, but 5:05pm. I just the worst time of day for me. I've analyzed it and I've come up with some reasons why.

1) I am hungry

2) My kids are hungry

3) My baby is cranky because we are on the last hour until bedtime

4) I've been with ALL of my kids for 3 hours (I love them but I need them in smaller doses)

5) And finally, I am just cranky so leave me alone. - My fav is when a telemarketer calls me at that time (eventhough we are on the Do Not Call List). Most times I am civil, but catch me on the wrong day and it turns into the telemarketers 'Just Kill Me Time Of Day'.

Take That Old Ruby

Finally Treehouse has heard our cries of outrage and kicked Ruby (of Max & Ruby) to the curb. She got the boot and the new girl's in. She is much less abrasive and and she doesn't put out the 'punch me in the face' kinda vibe. Thank you Treehouse for making my day that much less annoying. Now could ya do something about Caillou before I take a hit out on him. What a WHINER!!!!

PS - I don't mean to brag, but I totally saw Max & Ruby live, it was pretty ... um .. awesome ... yes ... let's say awesome.

Update-ski

The -ski at the end of update makes the title of this post clever - right? or should I say right-ski?
Anywho, I feel like I have left you as readers hanging. I have posted my plans and never updated you on the outcomes. so let me update you.

Remember this (sorry no link provided) anyways, I tried but it didn't work like the picture ( I know shocking right? It didn't look all perfect and cute like in the pic). The problem isn't in the design of the holder, but instead it's in the design of the can itself. All the different sizes and what not didn't really work.

Now I know you are all checking this blog daily wondering what recipe did she cook next. Well, i haven't given up on the recipes, I have just given up posting them on the blogski (thought the post was getting a little dull and needing some spicing up with a -ski), instead I pin them all on pinterest. But to hold you over until you can make it to my pinterest account, here are a couple really delish recipes I have found.

Strawberry Lemon Muffins (Bart's Fav)

Crispy Cheddar Chicken, so good on top of a green salad.

There is NOTHING that causes me more stress than when my kids are sick. It is the WORST. Not knowing if you are doing the right thing, if they are going to be OK and I feel so bad when they are in pain and there is almost nothing I can do. I will do anything for a sick kid. If my kids wanted me to stand on my head for 20 mins because that would make them feel better I would. I sat outside the washing machine for a good solid hour while he played with it/ in it, it was the only time he had been happy in days .

Hopefully he is on the mend after many nights of waking up screaming every 3-4 hours (this is the part that really sucks, b/c I didn't know what he wanted, he wasn't hungry, I druged him as much as possible and he couldn't have any more medicine. Maybe he just wanted to scream for 30 minutes ?????) but finally last night he slept from 6pm - 9:30am only waking up once for a bottle, then right back to sleep. Fingers crossed.

Homemade Cake ... You're Joking, Right?

Ella: Are we decorating the house for the January birthdays? (we are having the fam over for all the birthdays in Jan- just to clarify)
Me: No we aren't.
Ella: Oh ... where is the cake.
Me: Kali's bringing it.
Ella: Where did she get it from?
Me: She made it.
Ella: WHAT? WHAT? (said in a high pitched girls voice). Mom, you can't make birthday cake, you have to buy it. (In a like, DUH you moron kinda voice)
Me: No you can make birthday cake.
Ella: ( In a completely shocked and somewhat betrayed voice) Why have never made me a birthday cake?

I can do a lot of things, but apparently making a homemade birthday cake is not one of them.

These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things

This is one of the best reasons to have a baby. you can kiss them anytime you want. Then they get older and don't let you kiss them at your beckon call - When that happens they are dead to me!

BLOG 365

Every time I read a 365 picture a day blog. I think to myself - 'self, you should do that. That's a great way to journal the in and outs of your daily life.'
But as you can see it NEVER pans out the way that I want it to. So instead of starting of the new year with an ambitious goal of posting 365 or 366 pics this year. I will underwhelm you all and try to post one pic a week. Let's call it my 52 picture a week blog (in addition to all the other fascinating stuff I post).
I think I will need try to bring my camera places. Cause I have a pretty amazingly interesting life - Just this morning I half cleaned my kitchen, thought about making my bed and checked my e-mail. WHOA, how can you keep up with all I do.
