DYB DYB DYB, DOB DOB DOB

Growing up with NO brothers I had no idea that this whole weirdo world of cubs existed. All these crazy chants and actions, it is like some kind of cult. When Bart first showed me what the cubs do each meeting I thought to myself - 'there is no way in HECK my son will want to do that ... NO WAY'.  -I was told warned to be supportive and enthusiastic (by Bart), and I was. I didn't laugh in front of my cub when he showed me the grand howl (I actually thought it was adorable AND hilarious).  But to make a long story short these 8 to 10 year old boys totally buy into this business. It is a genius program - GENIUS I tells ya.
My boy ironing his necker - necker seriously? The name is necker?

Our Mountain Goat

She's our little mountain goat. I don't know if it is her peanut size or her lack of fear. But either way I regularly find her on top of the counter , the table or the bookshelf (pictured here). She definitely does NOT take after me, my palms start sweating just thinking about heights ... you should have seen me at the CN tower, I am not going to lie I was an embarrassment to my family.

Sweetness

Bart has been out of town for the last few days and the little girl has missed him so much. She is so excited to talk to him when he phones.
As a side note: I wanted her middle name to be Barton (after her Dad, of course), but alas I was out voted. I totally should have fought harder, because she IS her father's daughter.
As a side side note: Look at those freckles. So sweet.

Flashlight Tag

My kids and I played flashlight tag while Bart was out of town - not that we couldn't have played it with Bart home, it just worked out that way. My kids loved it so, SO much. Ella was having so much fun she was squeaking - I must say it was adorable. Such an easy thing, I really should do this kinda stuff more often, I could literally feel the memories being made.

Me Love Cookies

If there was any ever doubt how much I love cookies, here is your proof.
Yes, I love cookies so much that my son has to hide them from me.
Now let me explain. He got a few boxes of cookies at a Christmas white elephant exchange and after he found me sneaking a few - seriously it was only 2 ... alright fine it was only 5 ... maybe 6 - he decided he could no longer trust me and he took his cookies and hid them on me. BUT, guess what ... I found them. And this time I got wise and only took 1 or 2 a day, that way he couldn't tell it was me. SUCKER!
I need help.

My - Mine

Nate's fav : 'my mine' code MegaMind. I pretty much know this movie by heart, and I don't want to drive a screwdriver through my ears (or eyes for that matter) whenever it is on - that in my opinion is a good kids movie. Nate watches it once (sometimes twice a day depending on how much I need him out of my hair). He loves it And find him adorablewhen he watches it, plus I heart Tina Fey. I don't know if I can in good conscience recommend every part of her book, but it's hilarious.

Brother & Sister

Look how sweet, snuggling up while watching a movie. This lasted just long enough for me to get my camera. And as a side note - you'll notice the suitcase in the background. Yes, that is correct, my suitcase is still not fully unpacked - I am working on it OK!

D9

I squeezed in as much shopping as I could, and I must say I am proud of how much I accomplished in so little time and with so many kids around. But out of everything I bought, this is my absolute fav. 12 little books for each month of the year. I am kinda of a stationary enthusiast, so you know this excites me. I've got big plans for these little guys ... BIG PLANS!

D8 - DATE, get it?

We bought a bunch of fireworks to set off on New Year's Eve, but that plan didn't exactly pan out. So we ended up with a grand fireworks show to celebrate Monday.

D4 - Cacti, Cacti Everywhere - With a Cartwheel & a Crown Vic

Although I much prefer green grass and the foliage of our summers to the, palm trees and cacti of the dessert. The fact is it is the dead of winter where I come from so the cacti was a beautiful sight.- which is why I took a buttload of cactus pics.
Ahhh .... cartwheels on grass in the middle of winter. So refreshing!
Check out our sweet sweet rental. We were kickin' it old school riding 3 in the front seat.

Vacay Day 1

A good start to the trip. They were so excited to watch for the planes, it really never gets old. Well I guess it probably could get old. You know if you we the type to travel via plane weekly, but alas I am not so lucky - or cursed, cause flying once a week would kinda suck. ON WITH THE PICS!
Good thing he was free, shaved a pretty penny off the price of the trip.
Before the rest of the folks board the plane.
The screaming fit came about 5 minutes later when some old people (because that is pretty much what the plane to Phoenix was full of) came to claim their seats. The baby boy was not impressed that he could not have 2 seats all to himself - what a diva!
