A Fire or ...

I really like these quote , but I also feel like there should maybe be a few exceptions. IE - when you child takes an ENTIRE bottle of maple syrup and pours it all over you white carpet. There will be some definite yelling. At one point in the clean up process (as the devil child was sitting on the couch with his head down making the sound kids make when they have been crying too hard - you know) I just yelled out at the top of my lungs AAHHHHHHHH(not at anyone) because I was SO frustrated with being STICKY. I thought it would let off some steam and spare the 2 year old some serious sadness. It actually helped.
When he was allowed to get out of time out. He immediately ran up and gave me a kiss then made a B-line to help me clean. -and I use the term HELP very loosely. i must admit at this point I started to think he was adorable again.

As a side note-  I told me kids this story when they got home, and today I went to pick them up to take them on a Valentine lunch date and 2 girls in Ethan's class came up and asked Ethan if they could smell Nate to see if he smelled like syrup.

Yes, those 2 year olds. I ask myself sometimes if the twins were as much of a handful as Preston and then I remember the poo smeared toy room, the hot chocolate powdered pantry, the toothpasted mirrors...it is a 2 year old thing I guess. Have fun!

2 year old.... Georgia just turned 3 and a few weeks ago she filled the drawer in the bathroom vanity completely with water.
But that was not a 2 year old thing. that was a sunday morning thing. Cause sunday morning always brings out a new kinda bad for my kids. I'm on my own and trying to get ready and they pull out stuff I didn't think they were even capable of.
Then I go to curch and wonder if I should take the sacrament cause I have spent the morning yelling so much. But then I do cause I need the water to help my dry throat.
