SO on to coconut shrimp. It is awesome and I am excited to have some tonight... I guess there is not much to blog about on the topic of coconut shrimp.

MJ Or Coconut Shrimp.
C'mon we all knew that coconut shrimp would win out over Michael Jackson. And Besides I am done with all of that. I am glad I've held true to my no TMZ/celeb gossip shows. I am sick of hearing about MJ just from the real news. But I did have one of those moments I desired (from my previous blog), I was the last person to know about MJ. I literally called everyone in my immediate calling circle and every last one of them was like 'yeah, I heard, you didn't know?' I was driving to the grocery store and I heard it on the radio and since I don't own a cell phone (I know, I know time to join the 90's) I wanted to tell people in the grocery store, but I held back.

The other day I ordered pizza for supper, and the pizza guy comes to the door and Ella answewers it (my Ella who is afraid of strangers) and is says 'hi' , because apparently the pizza man is not a stranger and part of our most inner circle. After the pizza guy responds to Ella, he starts looking around my house (from the door frame - he's not sitting down with us for pizza) and he asks 'where's the little guy I was going to say to him, no pizza for you, it's our joke.' You know like their inside joke. My son has an inside joke with the pizza man.

Now should I be embarrassed or am I just memorable.

How Much Do You Pay a Wii to Babysitt? $7/ hour?
Ethan has been sick for the last 3 days and in my house when you are sick there are no limitations to how much TV/ movies you can watch or how many video games you can play - you should see me when I am sick, Mario Kart is my life.

So Ethan has been in heavan and to be honest so have I. With no limitations on his time in front of the TV I have got so much done this week, I rearranged my living room, organized my basement and got a great workout in everyday. I don't know who it is going to be harder for when he feels better and we go back to our 'TV rules', him or me.
I totally get how parents let the TV babysit their kids.

Why Do I Care About Their Lives? ... NO MORE!
I have a new goal. If you were in my mind you would hear me utter that sentence every 2-3 days. But this goal is serious enough for me to expose it to the world, so here goes...
No more celebrity news for me. No more Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood and my personal fav TMZ. Now let me clarify, I am not an avid celebrity watcher, but I know and watch enough to keep me in the know. But I have decided the stuff I do know is to much. Really I am not a better person for knowing who got TTYNed by Paris Hilton or Jon and Jen are back again or that Hugh Grant has a Temper. I could go on. None of this stuff enriches my life in ANY way. I have come to the conclusion that I would be better suited to sit in a dark room by myself and stare at a white wall, than watch the 'news'.
I don't want to be one of those people that calls TMZ my 'news program'. (you know like on 'So I Married An Axe Murder?) I do however want to be one of those people who says 'Oh, I don't know who Speidi is ... is that some sort of insect?.
If some of the references above have confused you, good for you, you are my muse.

I've Been Too Weak To Type
I feel like a teenage girl writing in my diary ...

Dear diary it's been a long time since I have written.
I give a quick explanation of why it has been so long since I've blogged. I am too freakin' tired and hungry to type. So tonight I stocked up on Oreos and went at it.
I decided for 30 days to not eat any sugar and at the same time I started p90x. Yeah, yeah I know it's good for me, but it took the life out of me.
I served my 30 day sentence and in the end I am sticking with the p90x and dropping the sugar ban. I just need to find the balance between eating 2 cookies versus the entire box (literally).
PS - Diary don't tell anyone but, I have a huge crush on a boy named Bart, and today he smiled at me. Maybe he'll ask me to the big dance.

Church Would Be the First Thing to Go

Disclaimer : I go to church not because I am forced to, but because I believe.
What are people thinking going to church in these (see above pic) conditions. You better believe that church would be the first thing to go if we here in Alberta were at serious risk of pig flu (I know it's N1 H1, but pig flu sounds better and it sounds way better than swine flu).
What are some people in Mexico thinking? Church is one of those things that can be cut out for a couple of weeks until conditions improve. You can pray and study at home. Don't get me wrong, I travel 25 mins on the highway each way to get to church, it's not the effort or hard work of getting to church that is silly, it's the risk of dying.
No actually it's the risk of my kids getting sick that I couldn't take. It's my number one fear.

Seriously Teething AGAIN!?
E lost a tooth on Sunday, it was exciting - I feel bad for my youngest child. Everything is so exciting for the first child, by the last ... meh, been there done that.Anywho, his adult tooth is now coming in and I swear to you that he is teething. When he was a baby he was the worst when he was getting teeth, and now it's the same.
He is just cranky and tired. Tonight I did the unthinkable... I sent him to bed without dinner. He was super duper sad. And Bart and I were secretly laughing at the table - we would have been laughing out loud, but we didn't want to 3 year to copy us.
The big advantage to a teething 5 year old is you don't feel bad doling out the punishment.
P.S. - I felt so bad for sending him to bed without diner, but since I couldn't go back on what I said, I sent the 3 year old upstairs with a sandwhich and carrots. And then I went into his room and got mad at him for getting out of bed to get food (you should see my acting skills -I'm GOOOOD), then when he told me that his sister brought it to him, I said 'good thing you have such a great sister.' And I shut the door like I was still mad.
